Sustainability is at the heart of what we do.
Having spent years living abroad, walking along once pristine beaches now covered in plastic bottles, paddle boarding amongst waste discarded into our beautiful seas, we have seen first hand the damage that plastic is doing to our oceans. We understand that no-one is perfect, but if we can all start making more responsible consumer decisions, then we can start to reverse the damage that has already been done.
Our towels are made from 100% recycled materials.
Our towels are made from recycled polyester, commonly known as rPet. This is a woven fabric made from post consumer plastics, such as single use plastic bottles. Recycled polyester gives a second life to a material that’s not biodegradable and would otherwise end up in landfill or the ocean.

We are two cousins who have set ourselves on a mission to create the ultimate 100% recycled sustainable travel towel. Having spent most of our early twenties exploring (and bickering) together, we were lucky enough to see some amazing things. A continuous problem we faced, however, was our traditional cotton towels couldn’t face the demands of our active lifestyles, and there wasn’t anything available on our journey that could fit the purpose. After weeks moving around from hostel to hostel, our damp, bulky towels were being given no time to dry. We knew we needed to come up with a product that could overcome these pain points, whilst having a positive impact.
Our mission was simple, could we create a high-quality travel towel that suited our needs, whilst simultaneously having a positive impact by reducing the needless plastic waste that floods our oceans. This was how the Horizon fully recycled travel towel was born.
